Frequently asked questions
Answers about how the site works, how recipes are written and how you can use them.
Are the recipes really free?
Yes. Every recipe on Yetmos is free to read, print and cook. There is no subscription, no paywall and no app to install. The site may be supported by advertising.
How are recipes reviewed?
Every recipe goes through an editorial check before it is published: ingredient quantities, step order, timing, pan sizes and internal temperatures are verified for consistency and food safety, and unclear steps are rewritten. See our Editorial Policy.
Where do the nutrition numbers come from?
They are estimates calculated for the ingredients and serving size listed, using standard food-composition data such as the USDA FoodData Central database. Brands, cuts and portion sizes change the totals. Please consult a professional for medical dietary needs.
Can I change serving sizes?
Yes. Most recipes scale cleanly by multiplying the ingredients; for baking, bread and anything with a delicate set (custards, cakes), scaling is less forgiving, so make a second batch rather than doubling in one pan.
How do I search?
Use the search box at the top of any page. Search by dish (“lasagna”), ingredient (“chickpeas”), diet (“vegan”) or time (“30 minutes”), or browse by category.
Can I print a recipe?
Yes. Every recipe page has a Print button in the side panel; the print layout drops the images and keeps the ingredients and method.
Are the pictures photographs?
No. Recipe images on Yetmos are stylized illustrations, not photos of the finished dish. Your results will look a little different, and that is fine.
Can I use your recipes on my blog or in a cookbook?
You may cook them, share the link and quote a short excerpt with a link back. Republishing a full recipe or our illustrations requires written permission; see our Terms of Use.
I have an allergy. Are recipes labeled?
Recipes are tagged for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free where applicable, and ingredients are listed in full. We cannot guarantee any recipe is free of an allergen; please read ingredient lists and product labels yourself.
Can I request a recipe?
Yes. Send the dish you would like through the contact page. We cannot answer every request individually, but we read all of them and use them to plan what to publish next.
How often are new recipes added?
We add recipes regularly. The count on the home page always shows how many are currently online.
How do I report a mistake in a recipe?
Use the contact page and include the recipe name and the step. We review reports and correct errors, noting the update date on the page.
Can’t find the recipe you’re after?
Tell us the dish you’d like to cook, a swap that would help your diet, or a step that confused you. We read every message and add requested recipes to the queue.
