Ingredients

Method

  1. Tuna saladMix the tuna, mayonnaise, celery, pickle, mustard and lemon juice. Season with pepper.

  2. AssembleButter the outsides of the bread. Spread tuna salad on two slices and top each with two slices of cheddar and the remaining bread.

  3. GriddleCook in a skillet over medium-low heat 3 to 4 minutes per side, covered for the first side, until golden and the cheese has melted.

  4. ServeRest a minute, then cut diagonally.

Editor’s tip. Low and slow wins here: medium-high heat browns the bread before the cheese has a chance to melt.
