The old-fashioned way: real lemons, a simple syrup and cold water. Tart, sweet and nothing like the powder.

Ingredients

Method

  1. SyrupHeat the sugar and 1 cup water until the sugar dissolves. Cool.

  2. MixStir the syrup, lemon juice and cold water in a pitcher.

  3. ChillRefrigerate until cold. Taste and add more water or sugar.

  4. ServePour over ice with lemon slices and mint.

Editor’s tip. Roll the lemons on the counter first. They release more juice.
